Epic triumph at Le Mans!
Bruni-Vilander-Fisichella is AF Corse’s dreamteam again
The dream team formed by Gianmaria Bruni, Toni Vilander and Giancarlo Fisichella delivers another jab! Our drivers were competitive, aggressive and made no mistakes this time. With this winning attitude results do always come! Yesterday Ferrari number 51 repeated the victory scored in 2012 mastering La Sarthe’s circuit in the most awaited and murderous race of the season: the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Starting from the pole position Bruni set the rhythm for the other pursuers of LMGTE Pro category. Two storms threatened Ferrari’s first place giving the chance to Corvette #73 and Porsche #92 to take the lead for a brief time, but real champions distinguish when the situation gets hard. When the track got dry again Ferrari #51 chased the usurpers and during the night it moved into a solid lead till the end of the race. There was no chance for the Corvette of Garcia-Magnussen-Taylor or the Porsche of Holzer-Makowiecki-Lietz to win the 50 points of the match since Ferrari #51 finished the race two laps ahead of them. This was a great victory especially under the technical point of view. The reliability and the high performance of the car were undeniable. Make a comparison with the Aston Martin of Senna-Mücke-Turner. This car made a good start but it was forced to give up for engine overheating problems after a few laps. AF Corse takes the top place in the general team classification of LMGTE Pro category with 87 points. The following match will be next 20th September in Texas. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come.
