Ferrari wins the 6h of Fuji
Double jab for AF Corse team
In the East lotus is considered a symbol of spiritual enlightenment and rebirth. Approaching the reportage of Ferrari’s performance in Fuji (FIA WEC 2014) we can only talk about ‘rebirth’. After the uncomfortable third place gained in Texas two week ago Ferrari needed to give a clear signal. The power reaffirmation banged on time and Aston Martin and Porsche had to suffer the consequences. AF Corse team scored an incredible double win. Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander in their Ferrari 458 GT2 number 51 won the race with unbreakable determination, straight to the point. The second step of the podium went to the stable’s companions of Ferrari #71 led by Venetian driver Davide Rigon and James Calado. This is a great results for the young couple Rigon-Calado that helps AF Corse team and Maranello House to outperform the other rivals in the general classification. At the end of the six-hour race Ferrari is leading in the GTE Manufacturers with 200 points, while the German Porsche remains blocked at 171. It’s always a great emotion to see a red podium. Good job! The following challenge would be run along the curves of Shanghai’s circuit next 2nd November 2014. Stay tuned.
