A third place is not enough
Bronze medal to Ferrari #51 in Texas
Yesterday took place in Texas (Austin) the fourth event in the FIA World Endurance Championship 2014. Our Ferrari 458 number 51 conquered the pole position during the qualifications with a best lap of 2’05’’245, but the rain played a bad trickery to the car in a very similar way it did at Silverstone last April. Aston Martin Vantage number 97 led by Mücke-Turner cried out for revenge after the forced desertion for technical issues at Le Mans and showed its claws winning the 6 hours of The Americas. Porsche 911 RSR led by Makowiecki-Pilet tailgated our Ferrari and finally got the second place. So the race finished with a first place for Aston Martin #97, a second place for Porsche #92 and a bronze for the Ferrari of Bruni-Vilander that finished the race with 18 seconds of delay from the winner. This race teaches us something very important: never underestimate defeated rivals. Here in Italy we say “Learn the trade and it will stand you in good stead”, so heads-up. Ferrari will show all its aggressiveness next 12th October at Fuji Circuit. Stay tuned!
