La Leggenda di Bassano 2017
Pakelo supports the vintage heritage

The most beautiful vintage cars met at La Leggenda di Bassano 2017 Cup Giannino Marzotto, one of the most important events for historical motoring’s enthusiasts that happened from 22nd to 25th June 2017. La Legganda is reserved only to Sport-Barchetta cars built until 1960 and it is part of the international Fiva (Fédération internationale des vèhicules anciens) and ASI (Automotoclub storico italiano) calendars. The event has been running for 55 years and it has always been organized by CVAE (Circolo veneto automoto d’epoca “Giannino Marzotto”), the third Italian historical cars’ club.
With a lot of foreign signs up from all over the world the event confirms its international status. Inestimable value cars headed out the most beautiful Dolomiti’s routes in a friendly and merry atmosphere which is characteristic of this event.
The illustrious parterre included the twice Italian Rally World champion Miki Biasion, the event’s president Paolo Marzotto, Massimo Vallotto and the historic and Nino Balestra the administrator of the most important motoring galleries in Veneto.

Like every year the departure of the first competitor was on 23rd June from Villa Cà Cornaro in Romano d’Ezzelino, in the north-east of Italy. The first stop-over of about 200 km long went from Val Brenta to Merano.
On 24th June the second stop-over about 300 km long was surely the most demanding for cars and drivers. The itinerary overshot six of the most amazing Dolomiti Passes to reach in Cavalese. The following day the drivers faced the final road stretch until the destination in Piazza Libertà in Bassano del Grappa.

La Leggenda di Bassano officially finished with the farewell competitors’ lunch and the award ceremony. On the highest step of the podium was the Giacoppo-Grillone crew, driving the vintage-car #19, a 1933 FIAT 508 S Coppa D’Oro, followed by the car #36, a 1950 Special Biondetti Jaguar driven by the Perbellini Crew (last edition’s winner).
Pakelo Lubricants as main sponsor chose the most beautiful vintage-car and assigning Pakelo Trophy to car #73, an amazing Maserati 300 S of 1956, driven by the Fernandez-Montse crew.
For years, the Pakelo company invests in creating a line of classic car oils, a market that needs specific formulations and particular attention. The additions contained within modern lubricants are not suitable for all vintage engines whose design and components are essentially different.
The “Pakelo Classic” lubricant line is designed to preserve the efficiency and authenticity of the historic cars with calibrated additives, mixed with a preservative and anti-wear optic.
