FIA WEC semifinal proved Ferrari AF Corse value
Semifinal of FIA World Endurance Championship took place last November 1st in Shanghai and Ferrari AF Corse team showed its best even if weather conditions forced the intervention of Safety Car several times throughout the six hours. The team conquered the victory in LMGTE AM category with Ferrari 458 Italia #83 driven by Perrodo-Collard-Aguas, while it got the second place in LMGTE Pro category with Ferrari #51 driven by winning duet Bruni and Vilander. This penultimate round of FIA WEC was challenged in bad wet conditions and four Full Course Yellow were declared during the race.
In LMGTE AM the trio Perrodo-Collard-Aguas, together with the team, took the best decisions at the right moment regarding tyre choice. The victory consolidated the second position in the general ranking with 136 points, only 26 points from the first.
In LMGTE Pro world champions Bruni and Vilander kept the positive drive of Fuji and got the second place after a spectacular battle between the two Team Manthey Porsche 911s, while the team companions Rigon-Calado ended in the fourth position.
In the challenge for GT Manufacturer Title Ferrari is leading with 4 points on Porsche and a maximum of 44 still to be won in the final race of the season. In The LMGTE Pro standing AF Corse is second with 130 points, 14 less than Porsche Team Manthey.
