Top lubricants for the food industry
Everything began with an innocent mistake. A client called our Sales Department to place an order of oil, olive oil! We are not joking, Italians take food stuff very seriously, you know. However this funny incident reminded us that it’s time to speak a little bit more about Pakelo FOODGRADE line. We still don’t produce olive oil – for sure – but we created a specific range of low-toxicity products for the food industry.
Every plant and machinery has its lubrication needs, but with food industry things can get very complicated sometimes. A few years ago we invested on research and training in order to supply a complete and flexible line of low-toxicity products. Today we are able to give support to our client with the H.A.C.C.P. analysis which entered in force in 1998. This thorny auto-certification of the potential hazardous points in a production chain represented a huge change from the past.
With the introduction of this new system food industries had to take the full responsibility upon themselves about the safety and hygiene of the commercialized food. As a consequence finding reliable and experienced lubricant suppliers became a primary issue.
Pakelo FOODGRADE line is made of NSF International registered lubricants, greases, anti-freezers, sprays and detergents. All these products have been classified H1 (accidental contact with food) or H3 (direct contact with food). However Pakelo’s strong point lies in its laboratory and flexible plant which allows the creation of tailor made solutions to meet the client’s specific needs.
And now let’s introduce the benefits of Pakelo FOODGRADE lubricants. Firstly they grant longer service duration (even under intense working conditions) which means reduced oil consumption and lower costs connected with garbage disposal. This is due to the fact that Pakelo products are fully synthetic and their naturally high viscosity rates guarantee the thermal-oxidative balance of lubricants over time.
With the introduction of the H.A.C.C.P. system which imposes the full responsibility to the producer for the trading of healthy and safe food, it became more and more important for food industries to commit with trusted and experienced partners.
If you want to meet the potentiality these products be our guests at Ipack-ima 2015, the big trade fair of Packaging & Processing that would take place in Milan RHO next 19th-23rd of May. You can find us at hall 6, stand G47. So, to recap: we do produce oil, but for dressing’s oil you still have to wait a long time.
