Gibraltar Race 2017
From the Black Sea to Gibraltar with Gianclaudio Aiossa

The Gibraltar Race (06.23 – 07.07) is a competition open to everyone who is at least 18 years old, that owns a driven license and that has a motorbike that must be road legal in the country where it is registered.
The participants, which can be maximum 99, have to ride for about 8.000 km through Europe, from the Black Sea to Gibraltar crossing Bulgaria, Greece, Albany, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. The race is 16 days long and every biker is expected to ride more or less 550 km a day only using a GPS and a chronometer.

One of the participants is our PakeloHero Gianclaudio Aiossa from Reggio Calabria, Italy. He is a motorcycle lover. This passion has been passed down by his grandfather.
His collaboration with Pakelo began in 2016. Its Honda Africa Twin is equipped with Pakel oils from the MBK series, specifically the MULTISINT MBK SAE 10W-40, a Revosynt® Pakelo engine oil that offers a blend of the best synthetic and mineral bases on the market. Gianclaudio also uses the PAKELO CHAIN LUBE SPRAY OFF-ROAD chain cleaning products and the BRAKE CLEANER MBK mechanical parts cleaner, which are excellent for handling long routes that alternate dirt tracks, mud and normal roads. Gianclaudio is very fond of long journeys.
In fact his first adventure consisted in going from Reggio Calabria to North Cape in 56 hours, sleeping only for 3. This adventure caught the attention the Guinness World Record. However, the journey that made him famous is the Trans- Siberian, from Milan to Vladivostok when he crossed 12.184 km in a record time of 2 weeks.
In 2016 he participated to the G40 Race, a totally off road competition from Athens to Gibraltar. Even this year he decided to sign up to the Gibraltar Race, next to the well-known blogger Nicola Andreetto, also called Motoreeto for his passion for motorbikes.
The fourth stage was an unusual one for our PakeloHero because he decided to stay next to his mate, whose tyre pierced for 4 times during the morning. A Macedonian in the audience solved the problem but the day was almost lost and they only rode the dirt track. Fortunately, thanks to his solidarity there weren’t any bad consequences but only a decrease in the classification. The race is halfway and so much can still happen!
