A Jaguar Biondetti Special conquers the Dolomites
In June Pakelo Lubricants was official sponsor of the first edition of “La Leggenda di Bassano”, a regularity classic car rally run in the Italian Dolomites which has been organized by CVAE (one of the biggest Italian clubs for classic cars and motorbikes). This important rally dedicated to Sport-Barchettas built before the 1960s attracted many international contestants coming from all over the world. Teams form New Zealand, USA and Argentina joined the competition. Some models where truly unevaluable pieces of mechanics and beauty with an important historic racing legacy, like the Ferrari 225 S of 1952 (#94) that won Montecarlo GP with Vittorio Marzotto or the 1500 O.S.C.A. TS of 1956 that has been driven by legendary Gigi Villoresi and Luigi Musso.






80 cars left Ca’ Cornaro in the North-East of Italy on June, 17th to make a 600-kilometre trip along the Dolomites facing every kind of climate conditions. A special mentions goes to ex rally champion of the 80s Miki Biasion who participated with a Devin-D Porsche of 1959. After 22 trials in 3 days emerged a final winner. It’s team #36: Horst Keil and Gino Perbellini on board of a stunning Jaguar Biondetti Special of 1950. Pakelo Lubricants awarded them with its Pakelo Classic ’50s engine oil for their Jaguar. This engine oil has been studied to fit the needs of both 4-stroke gasoline and diesel classic cars built between 1950 and 1959.
