Bridgestone Champions Challenge Trophy
Equipping REAL passion
In 2016 Pakelo settled an interesting partnership as official sponsor of the Bridgestone Champions Challenge (CIV), a single tyre supplier championship managed by Idealgomme and MC Derapassion Biker’s. Indeed, Luca and Fabio Raggi of Idealgomme have been leading the Trophy for eight years fostering its growth till it became a reference point in the Italian non-professional motorbike scenario. 7 rounds disputed in the best Italian circuits, 2 categories (class 600 and 1000) open to expert and gentlemen drivers.
Part of the Bridgestone Champions Challenge family is also DIDI project, namely “Differently Disabled” project. More than 20 drivers with different forms of impairment coming from all over the world challenge themselves with actual great race outcomes, showing that competitiveness and iron-will are what one takes to succeed and cancel barriers.
From the very beginning Pakelo felt a natural affinity with the Trophy’s sportsmanship. This feeling was confirmed during Pakelo Press Conference which took place during the first round of the Trophy at Vallelunga Circuit. Every driver got a test kit from Pakelo containing a 5L tin can of Krypton MBK engine oil series and a Pakelo Chain Lube Spray for on-road applications.
However, anyone could bet that sponsoring a championship is quite different from gaining the trust of the drivers and of their mechanics. The real satisfaction for Pakelo came with the interest of Massimo Piras, the first driver equipping his F3 MV Agusta #54 with our lubricants and that asked for a specialist advice for other motorbikes of his team: Punto Moto Corse
from Arezzo (Italy), a racing structure led by Luigi Scassa, a talented preparer with experience in MotoGP and Superbike. Massimo Piras has been racing in the Bridgestone Champions Challenge for six years. His language is the language of motorbikes. He’s the kind of person that truly understands and appreciate the physical bond between driver and motorbike and that senses that lubricants are not the same (at all).
Another interesting story is that of Luca Girardi of GRG Racing Team,
a newborn Milan-based team that got incredible results during this season and plans to expand the driver number for 2017. Luca is currently the first in the 1000 Gold standing with his tuned Kawasaki ZX-10R #28. He contacted us for a gear noise issue, that was easily solved by a specific lubricant of PAKELO GEAR MBK Series.
The last two rounds of Bridgestone Champions Challenge will be next August 28th and October 2nd 2016 at the International Mugello Circuit. Check our #PakeloHeroes out on the official Facebook page: Bridgestone Champions Challenge.
