FIA WEC Season finale in Bahrain
Silver medal for AF Corse team
Bahrain was the last round of FIA World Endurance Championship 2015. Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander led a perfect race and – thanks to good strategy and fast pit stops – got the second position among the GTE Pro cars in this season finale. Following the GT Drivers title in 2014, this year the duo is vice-champion. The race was doomed with bad luck for Ferrari AF Corse drivers James Calado and Davide Rigon. They started from the 7th position and finished in 6th due to a tyre problem.
In GTE AM category Perrodo-Collard and Cressoni (substituting an injured Rui Aguas) finished in 4th position. Perrodo and Collard made an excellent season winning the silver medal in the general AM Driver standing. Summing up Ferrari is second in the GT Manufacturers Championship 2015 and AF Corse is second both in the GTE Pro and AM standings. In the last three years AF Corse team proved its value several times winning three GT Manufacturers and Team titles (2012, 2013, 2014). Ferrari #51 driven by Bruni-Vilander and Fisichella won two times the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2012 and 2014, showing Pakelo lubricants colors proudly. All Pakelo teams thanks AF Corse for these beautiful years.
